WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO HAVE INTEREST AND JOIN OUR ORGANIZATION? 지원동기, 자기소개: Hi, my name is Hailey and I’m in 10th grade in SSI Busan. The reason why I want to join ‘WLTS’ is that I want to realize sustainable development by joining WLTS. I’ve been interested in sustainable development and ‘inequality’ since I was a middle school student. I’ve been searching for some methods that I can use to help people who can’t get good quality education with my talents. The sustainable development which I pursue is the progress of an economy that interacts with the environment and provides continuous opportunities for future generations to create their own sustainable development. I believe that the philosophy of WLTS about education corresponds to mine, in that I also want to break down the boundaries of accessibility of education by utilizing my ability so that I provide a stepping stone for future generations and help them maintain sustainable development by addressing educational inequality. By joining WLTS and letting people know about Pre-Calculus, I want to be closer to my final goal, sustainable development for future generations.

ARE THERE ANY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE (EX. AP SCORES) OR SPECIFIC REASONS WHY YOU WANT TO SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE SUBJECT PICKED ABOVE? :

I chose Pre-Calculus because I’m confident in it and I think math is a very difficult subject for beginners to learn themselves. I have experienced the hardships of studying math when I was a middle school student. I have considered a particular question for a week and I could find the answer to it thanks to the math teacher letting me know some tips about it. Teachers’ help is not always necessary for every student but I want to teach students who are in situations where they can not get some help from teachers or whoever wants to study Pre-Calculus as much as I can. Math is an essential subject for people and might be even harder to study alone than other subjects because students should know some concepts of parts to solve the problems, so I want to help many people to learn some tips or skills of Pre-Calculus by using my capabilities.

WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING IN THE FUTURE? 본인은 미래에 어떤 일을 하고 있을것 같나요?:

I think I’m working on two things. Most of all, I would be teaching students who want to learn Economics but get in trouble, in which they can’t study whatever they want to learn, in my school that I would establish for people all around the world. I would perform not only as the principal of my school specialized in learning Economics but also as a teacher who teaches students as several subjects as I can. Moreover, I would keep studying environmental issues and educational problems, etc for my eventual goal, sustainable development. Lastly, I would publish my own book that is related to the inequality of education and future generations. Through this work, I would be one of the people who gives a positive influence on the world and realizes equal quality education for everyone.
